In today’s world, everyone is on the go. We’ve seen technology and lifestyles change in direct correlation to each other. As technology progresses, so does our dependence on it. The modern professional spends a great deal of time using screens. Whether for doing research, making appointments, or communicating, they hold their importance. Since the evolution of smart phones this can all be done on the go. Your office can be pretty much taken on the road now a days. This is super convenient, but can also pose a risk.
Say you are out of the office for the day traveling going from appointment to appointment. Most would use their smart phone to contact their co-workers and people with whom they have meetings, look up directions, and obtain any information they need throughout the day. This is all very doable, but a phone’s battery can only last so long. When not around an outlet, this could pose a major problem.
Right now Ice Monkey is offering some great electronic deals. You can stop worrying about charging your mobile phone with the T-Mobile Universal 400mAh Portable Battery Pack Plus for Micro USB Devices. This allows back-up power while on the go. Right now it’s available on Ice Monkey until sold out for 60% off of it’s list price at $19.99.

As far as cheap cell phone accessories go, this one was got to be one of the weirdest.
That google image you see to your right is exactly what it looks like: a toilet paper roll holder and iPod/iPhone dock with speakers. So now while you’re visiting the rest room you can enjoy some of your favorite tunes as well, or just use the pit stop as a means for charging your battery.
It is worth noting, however, that the cheap cell phone accessories for Apple products that combine toilet paper and iPhone’s don’t really exist…. At least, not yet. We have a hard time believing there isn’t somebody out there who will at one point or another demand Apple start producing it.
What does exist, however, is iPhone-Toilet Insurance. That’s right, this past summer Apple began offering iPhone purchasers the opportunity to insure their unlocked cellphone devices for just $13.99 a month. According to Boy Genius Report, the insurance can be bought through the App store, offers a plan that promises to replace any iPhone that is broken or destroyed from being dropped into a toilet.

An unlocked cellphone is becoming increasingly enticing for many people. Androids are very hot right now primarily because of their availability on different networks. There are now more Americans buying Androids than iPhones. Will Apple be able to hold on to the unlocked cellphone market?
Signs show that Apple has no intention of slowing down. Their stock is well above $300 a share, higher than it’s ever been. They are increasing their availability to Verizon in a few months. And there were 12 million iPhones sold last quarter, a 60% increase from last year.
But with Microsoft prepared to take on the market, and Google’s presence growing, Apple could find itself in a position similar to its the deathbed it rested on in the 90’s when Microsoft held almost all of the market power in the PC world. Many researchers worry about Apple’s tight fisted control over their products, which David Yoffie, a Harvard Business School professor has said has “a large short-term advantage and a large long-term disadvantage.”
Then again, with Apple’s technologically superior phones at costs made lower by the subsidization of wireless carriers, and with their trio of iOS devices, it seems at least at this point, as though Apple will continue to retain a large share of the consumer electronics online mobile phone market.

As smartphones have exploded this year, Microsoft has lagged. Discount cell phones still have a lot of clout, but in just four quarters – the 2nd of ’09 to the 1st of ’10 – smartphones have grown from 16% of the market to 23%. Today it is likely beyond 30%.
Microsoft’s new line of phones is going to be available on AT&T by November 8th and will retail at $200 each. The other carriers will offer the phones next year. Microsoft says that the difference between its phone and others is the ability to customize features. An unlocked cellphone by Microsoft offers TV shows, Power Point capabilities, and One Note software, which allows sharing between the Windows phone and a Web Doc. All other Microsoft products will be available for linking – the Xbox, the Zune and Bing searches.
Although Microsoft has some powerful tools in its belt, it still has a lot of work to do to catch up to Android, iPhone, and Blackberry. An unlocked cellphone with heavy customization is what everyone wants, it’s just that they also want more than the desktop photo of their phone to be customized. At this point, a lot in the smartphone business is based on capabilities and reputation. If you don’t have one, the other must follow.

There’s a new iPhone app that you might want to check out. It’s called Line 2, and it has major repercussions for the cell phone industry.
The app appeared last March, but now there’s a second version out. It’s $10 per month for your unlocked cellphone instead of the $15 it used to cost. You can use your Line 2 number to text and call people when you don’t have wireless service, but when you do have Wi-FI.
But maybe the best part about this app is that you can turn your iPod into an unlocked cellphone. You can have a second phone number and as long as you have Internet access, you can make phone calls.
This service differs from the Google Voice app in that the latter isn’t Voip – it uses your AT&T minutes up when you want to make a call. Line 2 works as Voip or as a traditional phone service.
It’s hard to find a better way to make a cheap unlocked cell phone work for you.
Programs like Line 2 are exciting to watch develop because they force the CEO execs to think smarter about how to keep customers. We don’t want to spend a lot of money, and we want to be able to tinker and design programs that do what we want. So here’s to more programs and for my unlocked cellphone that make my life easier.

An unlocked cellphone is a beautiful thing. Especially if it’s a cheap unlocked cell phone that you were able to score from IceMonkey.com. But what if I told you there was a way in which you could enhance your unlocked cellphone even further? Fortunately for you, there are tons of ways you can enhance the performance of your unlocked cellphone. How? Through a couple of cheap cell phone accessories from Ice Monkey! If you’ve just bought an unlocked cellphone, or are thinking about buying one, here are a few must-have accessories for unlocked cellphones.
1) Car charger: There’s nothing worse than being stuck in a rush-hour traffic jam, and you can’t even call someone to entertain you because your cellphone is dead. Or even worse, having your car die in the middle of nowhere, and your cellphone dies right along with it.
2) A skin or case: A case is essential for anyone with an unlocked cellphone, or any cellphone for that matter. Cellphones are expensive and quite fragile, for that matter. Skins and cases can protect our fragile investments and look pretty cool in the process.
3) Extra memory card. If your unlocked cellphone has a camera, you’re going to need a bigger memory card.

We’ve all been there.
You’re stuck in line at the post office, or even worse, the DMV.
There’s a TV in the corner, it’s diminutive screen is covered in layer of dust. But you’re not interested in the TV. Maury is on, and it’s another paternity test episode (does he do anything else?). To make matters worse, the woman behind you is trying to sooth her screaming toddler who is saying something about his dirty diaper. You gag a little and try to envision your happy place. The line hasn’t moved for a solid 15 minutes, thanks to the guy at the window who refuses to follow the clerk’s directions and step aside. Jerk.
You reach inside your pocket to find something, anything to take your mind of your miserable surroundings. Your fingers touch the smooth, cool plastic of your unlocked cellphone, and suddenly, everything feels a little better.
You pull it out of your pocket and browse for new text messages. You send an email to someone, check your Facebook and watch a youtube video of a cat playing the piano…classic! You play a little Bejeweled–you’re favorite cell phone game. After beating your high score, and then beating your new high score, you feel a tap on your shoulder. It’s the woman behind you, telling you to move up…you’re next in line to be called.
Time flies when you’re having fun on your unlocked cellphone…

For most of us sane people, the way our discount cell phones look and operate are enough to make us happy. Occasionally, we’ll splurge and dress it up with some cheap cell phone accessories like a rhinestone skin or case. We don’t really spend a lot on our cell phone, because, for one, we’re on a tight budget. Also, many of us don’t want to spend exorbitant amounts of money on something that can break easily, something that we can lose, or something that can be stolen faster than you can say “iPhone”.
But then there are other people who yawn at the idea of discount cell phones. BORING!, they say to themselves, as they scoop another bit of caviar and look down on us from their pedestal. If you’re interested in seeing how the other half uses their money (try not to gag!) here are 3 of the world’s most expensive cell phones. Enjoy!
3) Vertu Signature Cobra: $310,000.
This gem is so exclusive that only 8 have ever been made. Yes, that’s a diamond encrusted cobra. No word on how many have actually been sold. We don’t want to know…
2) GoldVish ‘Le Million’ Piece Unique: $1.3 million.
This diamond-studded solid gold monstrosity is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s most expensive cell phone and the world’s most “exclusive” cell phone.
1) Goldstriker iPhone 3GS Supreme: $3.2 million.
And you thought a regular iPhone was expensive! This 3G’s case is made from 271 grams of solid 22k gold and its face has is accented with fifty-three one carat diamonds. The naviagation button is a 7.1 carat diamond.

We all love our cell phones. Especially if we were able to get usually pricey smart phones for the same price as the equally awesome discount cell phones (only at IceMonkey.com!).
Really though, our cell phones do it all! Until the battery dies of course. It seems like just when you get into something good, you’re at half-battery life. Well, if you’re on the market for a new smart phone, you might want to do a little research on it’s battery life. Cnet.com, the best place to check reviews of consumer electronics online, has recently published a review of the smart phones with the longest lasting batteries.
Here are a few of their top-contenders:
1) Motorola Droid X: For a $200 price tag, this bad boy has a 4.3-inch touch screen, awesome multimedia features, and HDMI output and DLNA support (whatever that means…) Plus, Cnet gave it a 4 out of 5 stars for battery life.
2) HTC Legend: Beautiful design? Check. AMOLED touch screen? Check! Lightning fast processor, more RAM and a camera flash? Check! This beast’s battery also got a cool 4 out of 5 stars.
3) LG Fathom: What do you get when mix solid construction, a bright display, and a spacious QWERTY keyword? The LG Fathom, silly! It’s $150 price tag and 3.5 out of 5 stars for battery life ain’t half bad either.
